Peter Mason
Peter
Mason is a singer-songwriter with a long and illustrious
career. Back in the early 1970s he served his musical
apprenticeship with the likes of Dave Dee and the Bee Gees. He
moved on to produce his own country-rock flavoured music as a solo
artist and with the band Mason. As a songwriter Peter has written
songs for a number of UK and International album and single releases -
over sixty in all, and for artists such as PJ Proby, Ellen Foley
(ex-Meatloaf), Rachel Sweet, Iona & Andy and The Haleys. Among
these, he’s had a number of Top Ten hits in Europe. Peter
continues to write for other artists and was recently in Nashville
overseeing the recording of a new batch of songs penned for emerging UK
Country diva Brianie.

“There
are some truly beautiful songs on this CD”
- Country

“A
great talent and a fine piece of musical
craftsmanship”
- Zabadak
“A
superb selection of songs.”
- Laura
Bethell, Maverick
“Peter
is a clear-diction vocalist-tunesmith producing gutsy
easy-listening; his project boasting many colourful themes.
Based in Salisbury, England, this urban-country’ balladeer
aims powerfully and directly at ‘the man-on-the-street’.
Of late, seldom have I been so taken back by a Brit
“songwriters” album. Here’s good songs, good production
and good performances where several songs stand out as good
radio singles. I enjoyed the fresh and refined treatment of
the self-penned material. It’s great to hear such home-grown
Brit talent. Unlike many middle-of-the-road UK talents, he
deserves to be known and receive wide radio airplay. One
guesses, he pitches a good supply of these songs to other
artists as his press release indicates. Don’t let this gem
slip by. It is a super MOR project that pulls one into its
interesting spotlights.”
